What were looking for:
- Current RN license in the state of Illinois
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric nursing setting is highly valued
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional, compassionate, and approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with Illinois state health regulations for public schools
- CPR and First Aid certification
In this position, you will:
- Provide direct health care and first aid to students and staff
- Develop and manage care plans for students with chronic health conditions
- Monitor and implement health screenings, immunization compliance, and medication administration
- Serve as a liaison between families, school personnel, and community healthcare providers
- Educate students, parents, and teachers about health-related topics and preventive practices
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and maintain accurate health records
