A school nursing professional is needed to provide skilled nursing support in a K-12 educational setting, covering a range of student health needs. This role involves filling in for health room staff, providing 1:1 nursing care when necessary, and assisting during school events. The position is contract-based and offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment serving children with various disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to students across K-12 grades, addressing diverse health needs including all types of disabilities.
• Cover health room shifts and provide 1:1 nursing services as needed.
• Support school staff during events requiring medical assistance.
• Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure student health and safety.
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with relevant regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Experience in pediatric and school nursing preferred.
• Ability to work full-time coverage a few times per month.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to various school health situations.

Location Details: This position serves schools near South Hadley, MA, including nearby communities such as Granby, Holyoke, and Northampton.

Contract Duration and Schedule:

• Contract length: ASAP through June 20, 2026.
• Full-time hours expected intermittently throughout the contract.
