Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a registered nurse in a school setting near South Amboy, NJ. This short-term role covers a vacation period and is ideal for someone with a passion for pediatric care and a commitment to student well-being.
In this position, you will serve as a 1:1 nurse for a medically fragile student, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the school day. Youll play an important part in the students daily routine, including bus transportation and specialized medical care.
Key Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey RN license required
- Experience in school nursing settings preferred
- Comfortable with G-tube management
- Previous pediatric or 1:1 nursing a plus
- Ability to work scheduled hours (88:15 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday)
- Available for in-person assignment; telehealth is not an option
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 nursing support to a medically fragile student during school hours and on school transportation
- Administer and monitor G-tube feedings and related care
- Maintain medical records and communicate with school staff and parents as needed
- Respond to health emergencies and implement care plans
- Create a positive, supportive environment for the student
This contract assignment runs from October 1st, 2026 until October 10th, 2026. Specific daily times are to be determined. Your expertise will make a significant difference in a students educational experience and quality of life during this period.
