Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity supporting a vibrant preschooler in a school-based setting. This contract position is ideal for an RN or LPN who thrives in pediatric care and enjoys making a positive impact in a students daily life. The assignment runs through June 30, 2026, with summer employment available and potential for contract renewal for the next school year.
Your primary responsibility will be accompanying a very active, ambulatory 3-year-old student with a tracheostomy and the occasional need for a ventilator (when unwell). The role includes traveling with the student in a van both before and after school on Mondays and Fridays, ensuring their ongoing health and safety. You will be working at a welcoming preschool environment, collaborating with educational staff and the childs care team.
Desired Experience and Requirements:
- Active RN or LPN license in Massachusetts required
- Prior school-based nursing experience
- Proficient in tracheostomy and ventilator care, especially in pediatric cases
- Experience supporting young children in educational settings preferred
- Ability to clear CORI and Fingerprinting background checks
- Excellent communication, observation, and documentation skills
- Reliable for consistent in-person attendance on Mondays and Fridays
- Comfortable with on-site requirements and student transportation in a van
- Must participate in a Zoom interview as part of the selection process
- Not open to CNAs or medical assistants
