Ideal candidates are either credentialed School Nurses (CSN) or Registered Nurses actively working toward their CSN credential. Flexibility and a willingness to obtain audiology licensure within the year are essential for this pivotal district-wide role.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid California Registered Nurse license or in progress with CSN credential
- Candidates in the process of obtaining CSN certification are encouraged to apply
- Ability to secure audiology licensure within one year
- Experience in elementary school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting the diverse health needs of students and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and health education for students in PreK6th grade across all district schools
- Conduct health screenings, administer medications, and manage chronic conditions
- Collaborate with staff and parents to develop individualized health plans
- Serve as a district resource for health-related issues, emergencies, and preventive programs
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state regulations
