Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia (or eligibility for GA licensure)
- Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health nursing highly preferred
- Strong assessment, triage, and communication abilities
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Clear background check and immunizations, per state/school requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide health assessments, interventions, and education to students and staff
- Respond effectively to emergencies and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with all applicable protocols
- Communicate health concerns and care plans to parents, teachers, and administrators
- Participate in the development of individualized healthcare plans for students with specific needs
