Job Description

Provide nursing care in a K-12 school setting in Sherwood, OR, working full semester hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with optional early release on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. This full-semester contract position involves direct 1:1 support for a medically fragile student requiring specialized nursing attention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care to a medically fragile pediatric student with complex health needs
  • Perform tracheostomy care and respond effectively to life-saving pediatric emergencies
  • Collaborate with school staff during optional early release times to support student health planning
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school health policies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Oregon RN license required; LPN or CNA candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
  • Prior experience in pediatric nursing with tracheostomy care and emergency interventions
  • Ability to provide life-saving measures confidently and compassionately
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with school personnel and healthcare providers
