Step into a meaningful nursing position supporting young learners at a vibrant summer camp program! This unique contract opportunity runs from May 27th to May 29th, offering you the chance to make a significant difference in a short timeframe. Situated in a supportive educational setting, youll provide dedicated one-on-one medical care for twin 5th grade girls throughout a transformative three-day summer camp.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN or LPN license required
- Prior experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or camp settings highly preferred
- Confident, compassionate communicator with excellent assessment and medication administration skills
- Ability to work full-time hours, 8:00am to 5:00pm, for all camp dates
- Must complete fingerprinting and meet school onboarding requirements prior to start
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct 1:1 care for two students, including medication administration, monitoring, and medical support throughout the camp day
- Collaborate with camp staff, teachers, and district RN supervisor to ensure a safe environment
- Act as a point of contact for health concerns, emergencies, and documentation
- Maintain up-to-date health records and follow care plans to support the students well-being
- Work independently within an energetic summer camp atmosphere, with support and supervision available from district RN staff
