Job Description
A full-time Registered Nurse is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support for a Kindergarten student with vent/trach needs in a Seattle-area school. This contract position requires an RN who can offer compassionate, attentive care throughout the school day and assist with safe transportation needs. When the student is absent, the RN will contribute valuable nursing support across the districts health rooms or with other students.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one nursing care to a Kindergarten student with complex respiratory and tracheostomy needs
- Provide support for transportation to and from school, ensuring safety during bus transit
- Monitor and manage the students medical needs throughout the school day
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to maintain continuity of care
- Support additional nursing duties within the school district during student absences to maximize contribution
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
- Experience working with pediatric patients requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to respond effectively to medical needs in a school setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to health and safety regulations
Location & Schedule:
- Onsite position based in Seattle, WA
- Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
