Make a meaningful impact by providing dedicated care to a kindergarten student needing 1:1 support in a school environment near Seattle, WA. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for compassionate Registered Nurses ready to deliver specialized care for a young learner with vent/trach needs, while also engaging in broader nursing responsibilities within the district as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license issued by the state of Washington
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations, particularly those requiring vent/trach management
- Ability to provide attentive, compassionate care to a single student throughout their school day, including riding the bus to and from school for continuous support
- Flexibility to assist with diverse nursing responsibilities in different schools should the designated student be absent
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare team members
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 comprehensive nursing care to a kindergarten student with complex medical needs throughout the school day
- Oversee and manage ventilator and tracheostomy care, responding swiftly to any medical concerns
- Accompany the student on transportation to ensure safety and medical well-being
- Chart and document all care provided in accordance with school and nursing standards
- In the event of student absence, provide assistance to other students or within school health rooms as directed by the district
