Key Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
- Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and cooperate with school faculty and families
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct healthcare services to students, including medication administration and first aid
- Monitor and manage acute and chronic health needs during summer school hours
- Maintain accurate health records and document care according to district and state requirements
- Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student health plans and safety protocols
- Promote a safe and inclusive school environment by supporting health education and wellness initiatives
- Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure compliance with all health and safety policies
