Make an immediate impact this summer by supporting students as a school-based Registered Nurse in a dynamic educational setting near Santa Monica, CA. This contract position is ideal for credentialed RN professionals with strong experience in school nursing who are eager to play a vital role in student health and safety during the ESY Program.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California RN license required
- Demonstrated school-based nursing experience is essential
- Priority given to credentialed candidates
- Must be able to cover the entire assignment: June 17, 2026 July 17, 2026
- Available to work part-time, Monday through Friday, during either 8:00AM 12:30PM or 8:30AM 1:00PM
- Reliable transportation and proximity to the location required
- Comfortable working with a school-aged population in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care and ensure accurate medication administration in accordance with physician instructions
- Respond promptly to student health needs, including injuries and emergencies
- Implement care plans for students with chronic health conditions and communicate effectively with their families
- Maintain detailed health records to ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations
- Educate students and staff on health promotion, hygiene, and wellness practices
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school staff to foster a safe, healthy school environment
