Make an immediate impact supporting students as a skilled RN, Certified School Nurse (CSN), or LVN in a dynamic K-12 setting. This contract role is available now and continues through the end of the current school year. Youll work alongside experienced school nurses to conduct hearing and vision screenings, while also providing essential daily support for learners across multiple schools. Must-have qualifications and experience:
- Current, active California RN, CSN, or LVN credential
- Prior experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of health screening protocols, including vision and hearing assessments
- Confident communicator who thrives in collaborative, student-focused environments
- Ready to begin as soon as possible and commit through early June
- Compassion, flexibility, and a genuine desire to enhance students well-being
Key responsibilities:
- Perform routine hearing and vision screenings for students across different grade levels
- Partner with district school nurses to deliver comprehensive health support services
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school health policies
- Respond efficiently to student health concerns and provide direct care as needed
- Advocate for student health, safety, and wellness within the school community
