Job Description

Provide essential healthcare support as a Certified School Nurse serving multiple elementary schools within a K-12 district located in San Francisco, CA. This part-time contract opportunity offers a valuable role in managing student health needs, completing 504 plans, and delivering nursing care on site at various school locations throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a district nurse supporting four elementary schools on a part-time basis (15-20 hours/week, 3 days per week)
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care, assessing and addressing student health concerns
  • Develop, implement, and monitor 504 health accommodation plans in collaboration with school staff
  • Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with parents, students, and educators
  • Promote a safe and healthy school environment aligned with regulatory standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in California
  • Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential specifically for school nursing
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work onsite across multiple school locations within the district
