Make a meaningful difference by supporting K-12 students as a skilled RN with school-based experience. This full-time contract opportunity provides leave coverage through June 2, 2026. You'll float across the district, working with students of all ages and backgrounds, delivering essential nursing care and interventions.

The ideal applicant will hold a Certified School Nurse credential and have previous experience in school or pediatric nursing settings. Your expertise will help foster a safe, healthy learning environment while collaborating closely with educators, administrators, and families.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certified School Nurse certification required
• Previous experience in a K-12 school environment or pediatric care preferred
• Ability to effectively manage multiple school sites as a floating nurse
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and district protocols
• Conduct vision and hearing screenings for students across grade levels
• Participate in IEP meetings for medically fragile students, offering expert input and support
• Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure confidentiality
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to coordinate care and accommodations
