A full-time Certified School Nurse or Registered Nurse opportunity is available to provide comprehensive nursing services within a K-12 school setting in San Bernardino, CA. This role offers contract coverage through the end of the current school year, concluding on 6/2/2026. The position involves working across multiple schools, supporting the health and wellness of students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and provide direct nursing care to students as needed
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings in compliance with state guidelines
- Attend IEP meetings to support medically fragile students and coordinate care plans
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to promote student well-being
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with health regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with current certifications
- Certified School Nurse credential preferred
- Vision and hearing screening certifications required
- Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to a float nurse role across district locations
Location: This assignment is based in the San Bernardino area, covering schools in Chino, CA, and surrounding districts. The nurse will float throughout various K-12 campus locations to ensure consistent healthcare services.
