This opportunity is for a registered nurse to provide dedicated support in a K-12 school setting in Salem, OR. The assignment entails working full-time during the school semester, focusing on one medically fragile student requiring 1:1 care. The role offers consistent weekday hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with an option for early release on Wednesdays to encourage collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care, including tracheostomy care and pediatric life-saving emergency interventions
- Deliver individualized support for a student with complex medical needs throughout the school day
- Collaborate with educational and medical staff to ensure health and safety protocols are followed
- Maintain accurate documentation of medical treatments and health status
Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon RN license required; LPN or CNA candidates with appropriate experience may be considered
- Proven experience in trach care and emergency pediatric procedures essential
- Ability to work independently and attentively in a school environment
- Commitment to supporting a medically fragile youth and contributing to their educational success
Position Details:
- Location: Salem, Oregon
- Duration: Full semester, contract position starting as soon as possible through May 30, 2026
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. 3:30 p.m. (Early release on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. is optional)
