Step into a dynamic school setting as a Registered Nurse, where your expertise will play a key role in supporting student wellness during the extended school year program. This contract opportunity near Salem, NH, offers you a unique schedule spread over July and early August, with shifts at both elementary and high school levels. Youll collaborate closely with educators and staff to ensure students' health needs are met in a nurturing environment.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid RN license required
- Previous experience in school nursing or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Ability to respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies
- Strong communication and assessment skills
- Experience managing medication administration and basic first aid
- Comfortable working across multiple school sites
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care and address student health concerns
- Monitor and manage chronic health conditions
- Administer medications per physician and parental instructions
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Deliver first aid and handle emergencies as needed
- Communicate with faculty, staff, and parents regarding student health status
- Support a safe, healthy school environment during ESY programming
Highly organized scheduling allows for work-life balance, with shifts as follows:
- July 6-9, 8am2pm at the high school
- July 14-18, 8am2pm at both elementary and high school locations
- July 22-24, 8am2pm at the high school
- July 28-32, 8am2pm at the elementary school
- August 4-6, 8am12pm at the elementary school
