Serve as a dedicated registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical/vocational nurse (LPN/LVN) providing one-on-one care for students with complex medical needs within school settings in the Greater Tampa Bay Area, Florida. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, working closely with students diagnosed with conditions such as G-tube dependence, tracheostomy, and epilepsy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care to students with multiple medical needs in accordance with care plans and protocols.
- Monitor and manage medical devices including gastrostomy tubes and tracheostomies.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including seizure management.
- Maintain detailed and accurate health records and communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers.
- Adhere to all state nursing regulations and school health policies.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida LPN or RN ASN licensure.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in school or pediatric healthcare environments.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care with attention to safety and detail.
- Strong communication skills and reliability in a school setting.
