Step into a full-time role, working on-site within school hours (approximately 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m.). Youll collaborate directly with students and educational staff, providing attentive care to an 18-year-old student with specific nursing needs. The primary responsibility involves routine suctioning via tracheostomy; no prior trach experience is required, as thorough training will be conducted onsite alongside experienced school nurses. The student is wheelchair-bound, safely secured with a belt, and supported by a dedicated paraprofessional for any changing or positioning needsplus convenient lift access for safe transfers.

Desired Skills and Background:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Prior experience in pediatric, school-based, or special needs nursing preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Willingness to learn and adapt to school health protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized, attentive care and suctioning for assigned student
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, educators, and fellow healthcare staff
