Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois RN license (required)
- Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or similar nursing setting strongly preferred
- Comfort and competence providing 1:1 care for students with ventilator or tracheostomy support
- Familiarity with developing and following individualized care plans
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to respond calmly and confidently in emergency situations
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive and compassionate 1:1 nursing care, monitoring vital signs and managing complex medical equipment
- Collaborate with school staff and families to meet each students medical and educational needs
- Maintain accurate health records, medication administration, and documentation
- Safeguard confidentiality and ensure compliance with state and school policies
- Act as a health advocate, promoting each students inclusion and academic success
