This contract opportunity, located near Romeoville, IL, calls for a skilled and compassionate RN with a Certified School Nurse (CSN) license in Illinois. Youll work onsite, managing a busy health office and collaborating closely with educators and families to ensure every student has the care and support they need.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license and Illinois CSN certification required
- Previous experience as a School Nurse or working with school-aged children strongly preferred
- Skilled in performing medical reviews and managing student health records
- Familiarity with IEP and 504 processes a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the school health office, providing daily care and responding to health emergencies
- Conduct comprehensive medical reviews for students
- Participate actively as a member of IEP and 504 teams, offering medical insight and documentation
- Coordinate ongoing health plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe health environment for all students and staff
