Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting students health and wellbeing in an engaging school setting. This exciting contract opportunity calls for a qualified CSN with strong RN skills to provide comprehensive health services onsite for the duration of the school year. Youll be pivotal in creating a safe, supportive environment where every student can thrive academically and physically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operation of the health office, delivering direct care and managing student health needs.
  • Conduct thorough medical reviews to ensure accurate documentation and support for students with specialized health plans.
  • Collaborate as an integral member of Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 teams, assisting in the development and implementation of health-related accommodations.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding student health issues, immunizations, and health education.
  • Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines, communicating effectively with school professionals, parents, and the broader educational community.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) license is required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) credentials with experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred.
  • Excellent organization, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and compassion in interactions with students and staff.
  • Must be available onsite and commit to full academic year dates: 8/10/26 5/21/27.
  • Comfortable working 37.5 hours per week in a dynamic school environment.
