Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with an active PEL endorsement as a Certified School Nurse (CSN)
- Experience in school nursingmanaging health offices, conducting medical reviews, and contributing to IEP and 504 teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families in a school setting
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school health policies
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the school health office, providing care and support to students
- Perform medical reviews and integrate findings into student support plans, including IEP and 504 meetings
- Develop individualized healthcare plans and guide interventions for students with medical needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote a safe, healthy learning environment
- Document all care, interventions, and assessments in compliance with school protocols
- Provide health education and advocate for student health and wellness initiatives
