A school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide individualized healthcare support to students in Rochester, NH. This contracted role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a students educational experience by ensuring their health needs are met throughout the school day and during transportation.
Responsibilities include providing nursing care and health education, managing medications, monitoring student health status, and responding to medical emergencies. The nurse will also accompany the student on the bus, ensuring ongoing care during transit. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers is essential to support the students overall wellbeing and promote a safe learning environment.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Valid RN or LPN/LVN licensure eligible for school nursing practice
- Previous experience working as a school nurse or providing 1:1 nursing care in educational settings
- Ability to perform health assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans
- Commitment to student-centered care and strong communication skills
- Comfort and willingness to travel with the student via school transportation
