A healthcare professional with a strong background in nursing is sought to provide comprehensive nursing services within a K-12 educational environment located in Rochester, MI. This contract position spans the current school year and plays a vital role in supporting student health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, including assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions among students.
• Implement individualized healthcare plans in collaboration with students, families, and school staff.
• Administer medications and provide emergency care as needed.
• Monitor and document student health records accurately and confidentially.
• Promote health education and disease prevention initiatives within the school community.
• Coordinate with external healthcare providers and assist in the management of student health-related concerns.
• Ensure compliance with school health policies, regulations, and state nursing guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Michigan.
• Experience working in pediatric or school nursing settings highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of school health protocols and common childhood illnesses.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
