Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity providing essential nursing care within a supportive school environment in the Riverside, IA area. We are seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) dedicated to making a lasting impact on students well-being and educational experience.

In this rewarding role, you will serve either as a long-term replacement for a school nurse on maternity leave from March through May or as a 1:1 nurse for a student requiring full-time care from February to June. The student, who is non-verbal, uses a wheelchair and requires tube feeding, will benefit greatly from your attentive, skilled support.

Key qualifications:

• Active Iowa RN or LPN license required
• Experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Proficient with care tasks such as tube feeding, mobility support, and non-verbal communication
• Warm, patient-centered approach with a passion for working with diverse student populations
• Reliable, professional, and adaptable with strong communication skills

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, including medication administration, daily health procedures, and emergency response
• Provide ongoing 1:1 care for a student with complex medical and mobility needs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students

This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work at a single school site, engaging with elementary and/or adolescent students in a close-knit educational setting.
