Deliver essential healthcare services in an educational setting and make a meaningful difference in students lives. This contract opportunity is ideally suited for RN or LVN professionals with a passion for supporting the well-being of young learners. With a Monday through Friday daytime schedule, youll provide nursing care, health education, and collaborate with staff to foster a safe and supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California RN license or LVN certification in good standing
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Comfortable working with K-6 students, staff, and families
- Knowledge of state health regulations and documentation practices
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing services, including administering medications and treatments
- Develop and implement care plans for students with medical needs
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Promote healthy habits and infection control protocols throughout the school
- Provide urgent care to students and staff for injuries or sudden illnesses
- Serve as a resource for health-related concerns, supporting staff and families
- Participate in development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as appropriate
