Step into an impactful role supporting students' well-being as a Registered Nurse within a creative educational environment. This contract opportunity is designed for a licensed RN eager to make a difference in a dynamic school setting near Riverside, CA. The assignment spans the full academic year, with a workload of just 20 hoursproviding exceptional flexibility to accommodate your existing schedule or commitments. Service dates run from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027.
In this position, you'll oversee the health needs of General Education 8th graders as well as Special Education students, collaborating closely with school staff to ensure prompt and effective care for all.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric settings preferred
- Solid understanding of standard school health protocols and documentation
- Capable of working independentlyno training provided onsite
- Strong communication skills and an empathetic, student-focused approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings as mandated
- Administer daily health care, first aid, and chronic condition management for students
- Maintain health records accurately and confidentially
- Provide education to students and staff on wellness, hygiene, and preventative care
- Respond promptly to health incidents and collaborate with educators or families as needed
