This contract role, located conveniently near Rome, GA, is an opportunity to make a lasting impact in a school setting for approximately 9 hours per week. Your trach care experience and commitment to pediatric nursing will be invaluable in providing individualized attention and advocating for this childs health and well-being during the school day.
What Were Looking For:
- Valid RN or LPN/LVN license in the state
- Trach care experience is essential
- Demonstrated experience in 1:1 pediatric or school nursing
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, health staff, and families
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassion, flexibility, and a desire to make a difference for students with significant medical needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver dedicated 1:1 nursing care to a kindergartener with severe needs
- Administer trach suctioning and monitor respiratory status as needed throughout the school day
- Collaborate with the educational team and communicate effectively with family members
- Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all care provided
- Participate in developing and implementing individualized health plans
- Respond efficiently and calmly in emergency situations
