This contract opportunity is for a 1:1 nurse providing specialized care in a school setting near Rome, GA. The role involves delivering dedicated nursing services to a kindergartener with severe needs, including tracheostomy care, for approximately 9 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to a kindergartener with severe medical needs
- Perform tracheostomy care and manage associated medical equipment
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
- Monitor health status and respond to medical emergencies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing assessments and interventions
Qualifications:
- Current RN or LPN/LVN license for school nursing
- Experience with 1:1 pediatric nursing care, especially in school settings
- Proficiency in tracheostomy management
- Ability to work effectively with children with severe healthcare needs
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
