Make a meaningful impact on student health and wellness as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) in this rewarding contract opportunity. Work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) across multiple schools during the 2026-2027 school year, delivering essential care and expertise to students from diverse backgrounds. This onsite position involves conducting vision and hearing screenings, IEP-related assessments, leading staff trainings on emergency care, and collaborating with the health teamall vital to fostering a safe and thriving educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current California Certified School Nurse (CSN) license required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) credentials
  • Experience in school-based nursing or pediatric health settings
  • Ability to complete large-scale screenings and thorough IEP assessments
  • Experience training staff in emergency protocols (such as Narcan, Epipen, glucagon, and albuterol)
  • Strong communication and consultation skills; able to collaborate with multidisciplinary health teams

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting 450 vision and hearing screenings, plus approximately 50 IEP screenings
  • Delivering staff training sessions for emergency health response procedures
  • Offering expert consultation to the schools health team
  • Serving multiple schools in the area as assigned
  • Ensuring compliance with state and district health protocols
  • Participation in virtual interviews and onboarding processes
