Job Description

Were seeking a dedicated, California-certified School Nurse (CSN) to provide expertise across multiple schools for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract, part-time position (up to 20 hours per week) gives you flexibility while making a meaningful difference in the lives of students of varying ages, from elementary through high school.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California CSN credential required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Experience in educational settings preferred
  • Confident conducting vision, hearing, and IEP screenings
  • Strong communication and training skillsfor both students and staff
  • Comfort with in-person, onsite assignments

Role Highlights & Responsibilities:

  • Administer vision and hearing screenings for approximately 450 students, and IEP screenings for about 50 students
  • Deliver essential staff trainings on emergency procedures and medication administration, including Narcan, Epipen, glucagon, and albuterol usage
  • Consult regularly with an established health team to ensure coordinated care for diverse student needs
  • Work onsite across multiple schools, providing direct support to school teams and collaborating with educators and administrators
  • Maintain accurate, confidential health records and documentation
  • Participate in virtual interviews and district-specific onboarding processes
