Key Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric care strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, triage, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate under pressure
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Must be adaptable, able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and first aid to students and staff as needed
• Administer routine and emergency medications following school policies
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions in accordance with individual care plans
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to promote student well-being
• Maintain accurate health records and uphold confidentiality standards
• Provide health education to students and staff
• Be a resource for health and wellness inquiries during summer school hours
• Respond effectively to health emergencies and coordinate care with emergency services, if required
