Job Description
This part-time nursing position supports the health needs of an elementary student in a school setting located in Wakefield, RI. The role involves providing skilled nursing care and health supervision while accompanying the student on the school bus for transportation to and from school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care tailored to the specific medical needs of one elementary student.
- Support the student during school hours, including morning and afternoon sessions.
- Accompany student on the bus to ensure safety and medical monitoring during transit.
- Collaborate with school staff and family to maintain effective communication regarding the student's health status.
- Maintain accurate health records and document nursing interventions in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Rhode Island.
- CPR certification is required.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
- Ability to manage specialized health needs within a school environment.
Schedule and Location:
- Part-time commitment: 4 hours per day (2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon), 5 days a week.
- Position based in Wakefield, Rhode Island.
