Job Description
Providing nursing support in an elementary school setting requires compassion, professionalism, and the ability to handle pediatric healthcare needs effectively. This part-time position offers an opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment in Providence, RI, focusing on elementary-aged students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care and health assessments to elementary school students
- Address and manage student health needs, including emergencies and routine care
- Collaborate with school staff to support student well-being and safety
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families as appropriate
- Follow all school district policies and health regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid RN or LPN license
- Experience working with pediatric populations or in school health settings preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to undergo required background checks and complete school onboarding processes
Position Details:
- Location: Providence, RI (Elementary School)
- Contract Duration: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week through the school year (ASAP to June 20th)
- Supervision: Support provided by school staff as available
