Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Active Registered Nurse license in Louisiana (LA RN)
• Previous experience in a school setting is beneficial but not required
• Strong clinical assessment abilities and professional communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Compassion for working with children and adolescents across a broad age range

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily health assessments, first aid, and care for students in the health room
• Monitor, administer, and document routine and emergency medications per physician orders
• Address acute illnesses, manage chronic conditions, and respond to health crises when needed
• Educate students, staff, and families about health, wellness, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Serve as a healthcare resource and advocate for student wellbeing
