Step into an impactful role supporting a young student as a Registered Nurse in a school-based setting this June. This contract opportunity involves providing direct, essential care for a 3-year-old student with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD) near Plainfield, NJ. As the dedicated RN, youll be an integral part of the students daily school experience, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.
Key Qualifications:
- Current RN license (required)
- Strong background in pediatric nursing
- Prior experience with NG-tube management (not G-tube)
- Skilled in lifting and assisting non-ambulatory children (student weighs ~24lbs)
- Comfortable with student transport and bus monitoring
- Engaged, compassionate, and dependable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive, skilled care to a student with INAD during school hours (8am 3pm)
- Monitor, maintain, and manage the students NG-tube
- Support mobility needs, including safe lifting and transport throughout the campus
- Accompany and supervise the student on school transportation as needed
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to foster a safe, supportive environment
- Respond promptly to health needs and adapt care plans as required
