An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced RN to provide overnight nursing care in a school setting for students with visual impairments. This onsite contract role runs from now through June 2026, with scheduled hours Sunday through Thursday, 11pm to 7am (40 hours per week). Youll play a vital role in supporting pediatric students and ensuring their health and safety during overnight hours.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
- At least three years of recent pediatric nursing experience
- School nursing experience highly valued
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
- Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive overnight medical care to students, including medication administration and monitoring of health status
- Assess and respond to any medical emergencies that may arise during your shift
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of all nursing activities
- Collaborate with other health professionals and school staff to support individualized student care plans
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians as needed regarding student health concerns
- Ensure a supportive and safe environment for students throughout the night
