Step into a fulfilling role supporting students and staff as a contracted Registered Nurse (RN) with a Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential for the upcoming school year. This unique opportunity allows you to work part-time, up to 20 hours per week, across multiple schools in a vibrant educational setting near Perris, CA. The position is for the 2026-2027 school year and will primarily focus on providing essential health screenings, running staff training sessions, and offering expert consultation to the school's health team.
You will have the chance to connect closely with both students and staff, leveraging your clinical skills to create a safe, supportive school environment and contributing directly to student wellbeing.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license and valid CA Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
- Experience in school-based nursing or pediatric healthcare strongly preferred
- Ability to independently coordinate and perform mass vision and hearing screenings
- Skilled in staff training for emergency medication administration (Narcan, Epipen, glucagon, albuterol)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective consultation within a multi-disciplinary team
- Flexibility to work onsite as required by the director
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct 450 annual vision and hearing screenings, and 50 IEP screenings for students
- Provide hands-on training to staff on emergency protocols and medication administration
- Regular consultation and support for the health team across multiple school campuses
- Maintain up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with school and state health requirements
