A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available to provide essential school nursing services at the high school level. This contract position spans a full semester, supporting the health and well-being of students throughout the school building.
Position Details:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June 26, 2026
- Location: Orange, NJ (servicing a high school building)
- School-based nursing experience required
- One opening available
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high school caseload, delivering nursing care and health services to students
- Conduct health assessments, administer medications, and provide treatment according to established guidelines
- Maintain up-to-date student health records and comply with all state and local regulations
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health plans and promote wellness
- Respond to emergencies and provide health education as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and certifications valid in New Jersey
- Prior experience in school nursing, with knowledge of adolescent health needs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Completion of required fingerprinting, tuberculosis (TB) testing, and physical examination
- Availability for in-person and/or virtual interview sessions
