Exciting contract opportunities await registered nurses and licensed practical nurses passionate about student health and wellbeing. Several contracted positions are now open to support schools throughout the area, with roles available in both traditional Health Office settings and as classroom or 1:1 nurses. Assignments cover the anticipated new school year starting August 2026 and running through May 2027. This is a unique chance to make a direct impact on students' daily lives while collaborating closely with dynamic educators and other health professionals.
Candidates will be matched to specific schools and positions before the contract begins. Applicants are encouraged to indicate their preference: Health Office, classroom, or 1:1 nursing support.
What youll bring:
- Active RN or LPN license (Kansas)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, acute care, or related settings preferred
- Compassionate approach to student care and strong communication skills
- Adaptability for working in both independent and collaborative environments
- Readiness to provide individualized, attentive care to diverse student populations
In this role, you will:
- Deliver direct nursing care and respond to student health needs throughout the school day
- Manage daily routines in the Health Office or offer support within classrooms and to individual students as needed
- Monitor and document student health, medications, immunizations, and emergencies
- Communicate with parents, school staff, and community health resources
- Support school health initiatives and promote a safe, healthy environment
