This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse passionate about working with K-12 students. Serve in a vital role within the health room, providing expert care, promoting wellness, and empowering students to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. The position is conveniently located near Jamestown, NY, and close to Orchard Park.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license in New York State (required)
- Prior experience with pediatric or school nursing preferred
- Ability to assess, triage, and manage student health concerns, both routine and urgent
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable collaborating with students, families, school staff, and other healthcare providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to students, addressing daily medical needs and managing chronic conditions
- Administer medications and maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulations
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, following school policies and protocols
- Support health education and promote preventative care across the school community
- Provide compassionate guidance to students and parents regarding medical concerns
