Make a meaningful impact supporting student health and wellness during a contract assignment at a vibrant elementary school in the Ontario, CA area. Your expertise as a licensed RN or LVN will help foster a safe environment for students as you collaborate with staff and administrators during the late spring session. The need is for credentialed professionals only, ensuring the highest standards for care are met per the directors request.
Required Qualifications:
- Active California RN or LVN license with current credentials in good standing
- Previous experience working in a school health or pediatric setting preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of school nursing practices, immunizations, and documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage medical emergencies and administer medication as needed
- Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care to students, including assessments, first aid, and administration of medications
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school policies and legal guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create care plans for students with chronic conditions or special healthcare needs
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student health issues, accidents, or concerns
- Support health education initiatives and help manage immunization compliance
- Respond effectively to urgent health situations and participate in crisis response as needed
This contract assignment runs from May 27th to June 30th, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Youll have the opportunity to provide meaningful support to a dedicated school community and make a real difference in childrens lives.
