A long-standing client seeks an on-site School Nurse (RN or Certified School Nurse) to serve PreK-6th grade students throughout the upcoming academic year. The role offers the chance to work collaboratively with educators and staff, making a direct impact in San Diego, Carlsbad, Poway, and the surrounding area.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California RN License, or RN actively in the process of attaining a School Nurse Services Credential (CSN)
- Commitment to pursuing audiology licensure within one year of hire
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize needs across multiple school sites
- Enthusiasm for working with elementary-age students from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, families, and staff
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the health needs of students districtwide, from routine care to emergency interventions
- Developing and maintaining individualized health care plans and documentation
- Conducting health screenings, including vision and hearing, and coordinating referrals as needed
- Supporting compliance with state and local health regulations
- Providing resources and health education to students, families, and school personnel
- Traveling between schools to ensure consistent and thorough care
