Job Description
A full-time registered nurse position is available to serve a high school community in Orange, NJ, for the upcoming full semester contract. This role focuses on providing comprehensive nursing services for a high school caseload within the entire school building. The position offers 35 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible, and will continue through June 26, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver school nursing services to students across the entire high school building
- Manage health plans and emergency interventions for students as needed
- Collaborate with school personnel and families to support student health and wellness
- Maintain accurate medical and attendance records
- Monitor immunization compliance and conduct health screenings
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and certifications valid in New Jersey
- Proven school-based nursing experience, preferably with secondary education students
- Compliance with New Jersey fingerprint clearance requirements
- Up-to-date TB test and physical examination documentation
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within the school environment
