Working onsite as a dedicated full-time Registered Nurse, youll play a key role in supporting students health and wellbeing. Your workdays will run Monday through Friday, 8:45am3:45pm, providing excellent work-life balance as you make a difference in young lives.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Previous experience as a school nurse strongly preferred
- Experience supporting students with diabetes, g-tube care, or seizure management is a plus
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and educational staff
- Please note: LPNs are not eligible for this position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive daily nursing care to elementary-aged students
- Create and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic medical needs
- Provide emergency care and manage acute illnesses or injuries onsite
- Monitor, administer, and document medications and treatments as prescribed
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators to advocate for student health
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
