Make a meaningful impact as a Contract Certified School Nurse (CSN) in a vibrant educational setting near Naperville, IL. This onsite role offers the opportunity to provide essential care and medical leadership while working closely with students, families, and school teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Illinois CSN (Certified School Nurse) license
- Registered Nurse with school-based experience preferred
- Strong skills in managing school health offices and records
- Familiarity with completing medical reviews
- Experience participating in IEP and 504 plan processes is a plus
- Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the health office to ensure a safe environment for students and staff
- Conduct comprehensive medical reviews to support student health needs
- Participate actively in IEP and 504 plan meetings and processes, serving as a medical resource and advocate
- Address acute and chronic health concerns, manage medical emergencies, and administer medications according to school policies
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with district, state, and federal requirements
- Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for students with diverse medical needs
