As an integral part of the campus, you will oversee the health office, perform thorough medical case reviews, and participate actively in IEP and 504 plan processes. These essential responsibilities are consolidated into one dynamic role, allowing you to make a broad impact throughout the academic yearfrom August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027. With a predictable 37.5 hours per week on-site, you'll find both stability and purpose in your daily work.
Qualifications/Degree Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement as a Certified School Nurse
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within educational teams and address student health needs
Daily Responsibilities:
- Manage all activities of the health office
- Complete comprehensive medical reviews for students
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, providing expertise for student health and plans of care
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff, students, and families
- Maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulations
- Support a positive school climate and healthy environment
