Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Certified School Nurse supporting middle and elementary schools in a contract, onsite role. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, collaborating with dedicated nursing teams across four school locations. Youll play a vital part in ensuring the well-being of students while assisting with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and developing student medical emergency plans.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) license required
- Background in school nursing, supporting IEPs, and emergency medical planning strongly preferred
- Flexible and adaptive with strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with RNs and interdisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with onsite RNs at one middle and three elementary schools
- Provide supplemental support by flexing across multiple school locations as needed
- Participate in student IEP meetings, providing insights on medical needs and accommodations
- Assist with the development and implementation of student medical emergency plans
- Maintain accurate student health records and documentation in collaboration with the nursing staff
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and health-focused educational environment
