Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) in the Inland Empire region. This onsite, part-time role (up to 20 hours weekly) for the 2026-2027 school year puts your expertise front and center, with a focus on vision and hearing screenings, as well as health education and staff training.
Leverage your California CSN credentials and nursing acumen to make a measurable difference in a vibrant, welcoming educational environment. Youll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary health team and provide consultation and hands-on support for staff and students alike.
Qualifications:
- Active California Certified School Nurse (CSN) license required
- Registered Nurse (RN) status preferred
- Experience in pediatric, school-based, or community health settings highly valued
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage caseloads across multiple schools
- Excellent communication skills for training staff and collaborating with educators and healthcare professionals
Responsibilities:
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings for approximately 450 students
- Participate in IEP screenings (about 50 total)
- Deliver critical staff training on Narcan, Epipen, glucagon, and albuterol administration
- Consult with the health team and provide ongoing health guidance within the school environment
- Maintain meticulous records and adhere to California health and education regulations
